As you've seen there is a lightpoint close to the galaxy's center. You'll problaly think that this pic is awful or that it has no sense to put it here. You'll also think that it tis a star, but I'll tell you that it isn't, it WAS. It's so amazing to see how the explosion enlights more than the whole M82. This explosion will probably become a superhuge blackhole in a few millions of years that will make the galaxy disappear. Well, stars and objects won't disappear, the things that are going to disappear are photons, the subatomic particles that create the light. This has been very important for astrophysics. We think that is the only huge supernova that will be seen this generation (25 years).
For me this photo is so striking because when I see this I think about how huge is the universe nd how small we are. The milky way is nothing compared to M82. The milky way has a yellow light spectrum, what means that most of the galaxy is made of medium or small size stars with lifes of 4000 milions of years of life remaining, and then we see M82 with its blue light, what mens that is made of superultramegahuge stars of sizes we would never imagine and light intensitys that would burn the most resistable elements of our earth. For me is so romantic to see the night's landscape so that's all what this pic inspires me.
