My new hobby: Astrophotography

When I was 5, I used to look above my head at night and make questions to myself. What are this shining points? How far are them? Can they be reached?

I've been solving each question during my academic life, but sometimes school is not enough for getting answers. I began reading astronomy books when I was 7, and since then I've had a very deep passion for the night sky. This year, I saved some money to spend on a telescope and a reflex camera, so I could make my eyes go further than what they use to see. By now, I have seen almost all the messier catalog and part of the NGC, and my interest just grows. My first intention was not to take pictures but I use to have a lot of fun watching the sky, so I'd like people to look through my eyes. The first thing that I saw with my telescope was a reflection nebula, M42, also known as the Orion nebula. I have to say that most people think that the sky with a telescope is spectacular and colorful. But it isn't. All you see are grey lines and white points that define simple pictures, the rest is done by your imagination.

I hope you all have a minute some day for looking over your heads at night, so you'll be able to feel tiny in the middle of the immense universe!

All these pictures have been taken by myself.
