Fame 2016

Like every year, the high school organises a musical performance for the 4^th ESO students. Luckily this year, recommended by my friend Gabri, I’ll be able to collaborate as lead guitarist of the band. I’m so glad to have this opportunity and for shure I’ll do my best!

This year, it’s a tribute to the film Fame, which was released on the 80’s. As I have said, It’s a tribute, so most of the songs won’t be the original ones, we’ve chosen other songs instead. We’ve met once and we’ve decided some of the songs we will play. I’d like you to come and see the musical, so I won’t tell you what songs we will play, only 2. 

One is Fame, by Irene Cara. Which is the main theme, and the one we will play during scene changes. It has a very recognizable riff, that all Fame fans will detect as soon as they hear the first notes.

Another one is the mythical song Beat It by Michael Jackson. It involves an amazing dancing work by the 4^th Eso students directed by Dolors, and another awesome solo written by Eddie Van Halen which will be performed by myself. (...) It will require a lot of rehearsal, and this  is what I am doing now, working, repeating and learning each note of the song.

The first rehearsal is planned for Friday 18^th, I’ll keep you in tune!
