This article is not from any english source, but I think that it's necessary to talk about it because of the valuable message it transmits to 2nd Batxillerat students.
SUMMARY:
The article "Estudia el que et doni la gana, però estudia" was written by Carles Capdevila the 09/03/2016 and published the day after.
It talks about the amount of doubts that appear when the 2nd Batx. students try to find something to study. He says that this shouldn't be a problem. We have indecisions between passion and future possibilities, but he tries to convince us to study our passion. The argument he uses most of the time is: "If you study your passion, it will be easier to find a job, because you'll be good at it. If you study something you don't like instead, the problem will be that you'll live unhappily the rest of your life."
The article is short but intense, and it's been written with a language that is very close to the readers, because it's not difficult to understand.
VOCABULARY:
As I've said, the article is in catalan, but I've been able to learn some translations though.
Degree: University primary studies.
Licensed people: People who have a degree.
Vocation: Passion for something.
Sacrifice: effort you do against your own nature.
PERSONAL OPINION:
Maybe I'm not the most indicate person to discuss the arguments of the article, because I agree with all of them, and my future plans are compatible with them. I really believe that studying has to be something you like, because where you get your happiness during those hard years? If you like what you do it comes by itself. So for all of you who don't know what to study yet, I highly encourage you to follow this man's council. Study your passion. Nothing more, nothing less!!!
